Soldier's and Sailor's Monument, intersection of Franklin and Broad Streets. Erected 1912 as part of Bloomfield's centennial celebration to commemorate the service of Bloomfield's veterans.

To the right of the Soldiers and Sailors monument in this [1962] photo is the [Liberty Pole], erected at the [precise] location of an earlier flagpole of the same name thought to have been erected at or about the time of the Revolution. [This structure needs to be further researched.] This structure features prominently in the Bloomfield-based novel, "Old First" by ______ Perry.

The Jackson-Gildersleeve cannon, so-called for its symbolic role in an incident stemming from a disagreement between two factions of the Presbyterian Church in 18__. Believed to have been a French field piece captured during the French & Indian War, it was purchased by the fledgling Bloomfield Township in 1812. The current whereabouts of this cannon are unknown; if you can help locate it, please contact us.

Sesquicentennial Memorial, in the courtyard of the Bloomfield Public Library. The armillary sphere in front of Bloomfield Public Library was a gift from the schoolchildren of Bloomfield in 1962 to commemorate the 150th of the town's founding. It was designed by Bloomfielder Kenneth Lynch.

The Korean and Vietnam Monument, in the Bloomfield Public Library courtyard, erected in 1973, honors Bloomfielders killed in those actions.
