[The small cannon in the foreground __________.] [add pic BR85] The Jackson-Gildersleeve cannon, so-called for its symbolic role in an incident stemming from a disagreement between two factions of the Presbyterian Church in 18__. Believed to have been a French field piece captured during the French & Indian War, it was purchased by the fledgling Bloomfield Township in 1812. The current whereabouts of this cannon are unknown; if you can help locate it, please contact us. Old Fire Bell _______. Sesquicentennial Memorial, in the courtyard of the Bloomfield Public Library. The armillary sphere in front of Bloomfield Public Library was a gift from the schoolchildren of Bloomfield in 1962 to commemorate the 150th of the town's founding. It was designed by Bloomfielder Kenneth Lynch. [Add photo] The Korean and Vietnam Monument, in the Bloomfield Public Library courtyard, erected in 1973, honors Bloomfielders killed in those actions.
