Family Files (under construction)

The Bloomfield Historical Society maintains family history files for a number of families. Many were early settlers or "first families"--those established in Bloomfield at the time of the township's founding in 1812. Other files contain information on more recent Bloomfield families.

First families (residents prior to 1812) are in bold. Note that the entire New Jersey section of the 1800 and 1810 US census were lost when the _______ was burned during the War of 1812, so a precise accounting of first families may never be known.
